Technical Tour to Leipzig and Dresden

Following the conference, there will be a three day technical tour from Potsdam to Leipzig, Dresden and the Spreewald.
The tour will start and end at the conference hotel in Potsdam.

  Sunday, June 11, 2006 at 9:00 h

End:

   Tuesday, June 13, 2006 at 19:00 h

• 4,5 MW wind turbine near Magdeburg
• Modern lignite power plant Lippendorf (1840 MB, fuel efficiency 47 %)
• European Energy Exchange (EEX)

Cultural Highlights

• Leipzig: Johann Sebastian Bach concert in the Thomas Church
• Leipzig: Dinner in the Auerbachs Cellar, a place mentioned in Goethe's Faust
• Dresden: Historic City Center (UNESCO-World-Heritage) with the Church of Our Lady (Frauenkirche, reopened after 10 years of reconstruction in 2005), Zwinger Palace and Semper Opera House
• UNESCO biosphere preserve "Spreewald

The fee of 670 EURO includes transportation, accomendation (two nights in Leipzig), all meals and drinks, admission fees, guided tours, and taxes. There are only 10 hotel rooms available, thus, make your reservations soon!
